Odessa Wine & Spirits Awards
On May 21, 2021, the All-Ukrainian tasting competition Odessa Wine & Spirit Awards took place in Odessa, where the results were announced. A professional tasting commission of sommeliers and wine experts tasted 304 samples of various types of wines and spirits from Ukrainian producers over two days. The tastings were conducted blindfolded to ensure the objectivity of evaluation. According to OIV standards (International Organization of Vine and Wine), medals were awarded only to those samples that ranked in the top 30%. Taking this into account, the competition awarded "gold" and "silver" without awarding "bronze".
