Wine Tourism: Top 5 Questions About Tours at Biologist

The travel season at the Biologist winery is in full swing (although, in fact, we receive guests all year round). We've put together some of your most common questions to answer them.

How does this happen?

We offer tasting tours at the Biologist winery for small groups – usually 4-6 but no more than 8 people – by appointment. The tours are conducted by the owner and chief winemaker Igor Petrenko. The program includes an overview of the winery, acquaintance with the production and, of course, wine tasting accompanied by properly selected delicious snacks. We guarantee: no matter how experienced you are in the topic of wine, you will go from Biologist with new impressions and discoveries about winemaking in general and Ukrainian in particular. Especially recommended for those who are interested in natural and biodynamic wine.

How long does the tour last and how much it cost?

Depending on which package you choose – Standard for 1600 UAH or Premium for UAH 2,300 UAH for a guest – the visit usually lasts 3-5 hours. The number of wines and snacks at the tasting also depends on the package. In any case, everything will be plenty, tasty and interesting.

How much in advance do you need to book?

It is desirable to book about a week before the planned visit to be sure that the chief winemaker will be free on this date. Plus, especially in the warm season (and we receive guests all year round), many days are already booked in advance. Interested in the tour? How to get there?

The winery is located in a picturesque place just 7 km from Kyiv by the Obukhov highway – in the protected natural landmark Kirikove in the village of Lisnyky. It is very easy to get to us, and it's very beautiful here. Be sure to bring a camera or at least a good smartphone: Biologist is very Instagramable. Need an overnight stay after tasting? Nearby is the Equites Equestrian Club, which has a great hotel.

What if you don't have a company?
